Biography
Tiwatope Omolara Savage was born on 5 February 1980 in Lagos, Nigeria. She grew up in London and studied business at the University of Kent before pursuing music. She worked as a backing vocalist and songwriter in the US before returning to Nigeria to launch her solo career.
She became one of the most successful female artists in Afrobeats, with hits such as "Kele Kele Love", "Ma Lo", and "Somebody’s Son". She has won numerous awards, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act (2018) — the first Nigerian woman to do so — and has been signed to Motown Records. She has also acted in Nollywood films.
